I can’t say enough how delicious this bread was! I bought a loaf for myself two of my friends, they loved it! They were so delicious! The Focaccia was a huge it with our homemade pasta dish. This might have to become a weekly order.

This bread is truly special. I love real bakery bread. But this bread is truly a cut above even the few real bakeries in this region. The sourdough loaf crumb is perfectly chewy and moist, the crust has snap and the flavor is outstanding. I had no idea I’d never had good rye bread until I tried this one. And the cookies? I can honestly say they are the best I’ve ever hard. I can’t way to try more creations!

Truly the most delicious tasting bread around! Bethencourt uses fresh ingredients, and I feel this really adds to the nutrition. The owner seems to really care about making high quality items and sends out a weekly newsletter that gives a flavor of the creativity he puts into his baking. I appreciate that they rotate offering unique items too, like cranberry walnut sourdough, corn/tumeric sesame seed sourdough, cranberry muffins among others. And I have to mention the chocolate chip sourdough cookies are dangerously delicious - it's hard to stop at eating one cookie!

Best. Bread. Ever! Can’t go wrong with any of the sourdough varieties. The weekly specials are always a treat. The cookies and muffin have never disappointed. And finally I can’t help but strut down the street with my excellent quality tote and t shirt. Additionally as someone with dietary restrictions and gi issues, I find the ingredients very well labeled and the service friendly and knowledgeable.

I believe this is is quite literally the best bread one can get in the Boston area, if not much broader. I'm so relieved to be able to give my kids real bread, and it takes me straight to my childhood and the bread my grandma used to make.
