THIS IS WHAT BREAD IS SUPPOSED TO TASTE LIKE! Honestly some of the best bread I’ve ever eaten. I feel good knowing I am nourishing my body with quality ingredients and the nutritional benefits of the traditional fermentation process. I don’t live in Acton but I may be making a weekly trip after tasting this bread. Thank you, Bethencourt Bakehouse!

Not a restaurant but an artisan baker selling in various places in the area. This is the real deal if you are looking for genuine sourdough made with organic ingredients. You will get hooked!

Incredibly fresh and delicious sourdough. There are so many flavors and textures. I love every bread Gonzalo makes. He is a wonderful guide and master bread maker. In a world where things keeping getting stranger and stranger, this bread roots you to the earth and reminds you of good food and simpler times. Highly highly recommend.

Truly the most delicious tasting bread around! Bethencourt uses fresh ingredients, and I feel this really adds to the nutrition. The owner seems to really care about making high quality items and sends out a weekly newsletter that gives a flavor of the creativity he puts into his baking. I appreciate that they rotate offering unique items too, like cranberry walnut sourdough, corn/tumeric sesame seed sourdough, cranberry muffins among others. And I have to mention the chocolate chip sourdough cookies are dangerously delicious - it's hard to stop at eating one cookie!
